Lake Manyara National Park (325 km²) is a **small but incredibly diverse park** in Tanzania. From its shallow soda lake teeming with flamingos to acacia woodlands hosting large herds of elephants, giraffes, and baboons, the park offers a microcosm of East African wildlife. It’s famous for its **tree-climbing lions**, underground water forests, and a birding paradise with over 400 recorded species.

The park’s dramatic terrain ranges from the Great Rift Valley escarpment to verdant wetlands, providing a picturesque backdrop for photography, wildlife viewing, and short safaris. Manyara is an excellent stop on the way to the Serengeti or a rewarding destination for shorter safari trips.
